Rise of the Eldrazi Spoiler: WWK Advertisement

If you attended a prerelease, you probably noticed this advertisement on the back of your rules and tokens:

 

 

HMM!!! Things don't look good for Zendikar! This angel is seemingly being attacked by what we speculate is an Eldrazi - likely creatures of mythic proportion. She also looks really freaked out and helpless in the event. It doesn't quite have the same feel as the last distressed angel, Slave of Bolas, but it does have similar qualities. This angel is basically surrounded like Slave was. There is no eminent savior or hope in this art, either. The card art itself looks like it would be a black card (or black mechanics, if it's colorless).

 

To take a wild guess, I'd suppose this card is going to showcase some form of evasion. Could be some sort of "Intimidate" mechanic. But that's just first impressions talking.

 

 

So far, from what we've seen of Rise of the Eldrazi, it looks like it is going to contain some great lovecraft-esque adventure. Tentacles, slime, weird alien-like beings. Makes me want to pull out Arkham Horror tonight. :-)
